I couldn’t talk to her on the Sunday either until fairly late. By then I was angry, hurting and not in a good state. I wanted to know why and why she was deleting emails from my computer. Her answer I will never forget. “Our marriage has been on the rocks for a while and I didn’t think you’ld care!”. That was like pouring freezing water over me. At no point did I shout at her. At no point was I abusive. She suggested we try a restart and that lasted only a short while. She kept up a pretence of a relationship over Christmas but I filed for divorce January 6th 2020 and was divorced May 23rd. She lives in our house with the kids. I live on a canal boat and see the kids 2 or 3 times a week. Between January and May when I shared a house with her due to Covid were pretty difficult. It will take me a while to get over it.
